Jan Eisen

Huntington Beach, California

An accomplished and sophisticated straight-ahead jazz vocalist, Jan Eisen has worked very hard to create her own unique aura that has captivated enthusiasts both young & old throughout her singing career.

Jan’s resolve, persistence and tenacity got her through tremendous road blocks during her profession.  Life was not an easy road to travel when she first started out.  It did not matter that she had a velvet voice which moved listeners and a stage presence that just drew her audience in.

“I certainly can’t go back to capture what I’ve lost in my youth,” she proclaims.  “I’m doing my best to create an awesome ending though.  Every rough road can lead to the heights of greatness, if you keep moving forward.  And there were times I assure you when I wanted just to give up and let all those disappointing efforts and struggles override my will to do what I loved most of all ... sing to my hearts content.”

Luckily though, Jan did not tune out that inner voice or, extinguish the passion that burned within her to do just that. Her latest release is a daring adventure and offers an effortless flair that not only leaves an impact but, her audiences always walk away never forgetting how she made them feel.

Most of her formative years were spent on the East Coast where she garnered an impressive list of public performances throughout the New York ~ New England markets, appeared on national television and entertained international audiences.

Her distinct, sultry style has impressed West Coast jazz lovers since 1995 where she has performed for John Wayne Cancer Research, the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, Catalina Jazz Series, the Queen Mary & the Golden State Pop Orchestra.

She has been accompanied by many of the industry’s most famous musicians including Emmy nominated pianist to Sarah Vaughn, George Gaffney, re-known bandleader, Joe Massimino, and world-leading drummer/percussionist/movie sound track artist, Alex Acuna to name a few.

Jan’s second CD, featuring Alex Acuna, Kendall Kay, Benjamin May & Jamie Findlay was released in the Summer of 2006 and featured with her first, “If I Could Turn Back Time” on her website www.ajazzsinger.com.

Take a moment to check out her site and see for yourself how a heck of a lot of determination, belief in oneself and a strong will to not give up makes a great recipe for making dreams happen.
