Natural Beauty Not A China Doll

Before the 1980’s, women only wanted to enhance the natural beauty they already possessed.  With the hippy movement natural seemed the way to go.  Along came the 1980’s, when looking as plastic as you could was a good thing.

From hair that could last for days,to a china doll complexion, this was the main staple in a woman’s life during this decade.  To look at the music videos from this decade you can see this look running rampant no matter what skin tone.

And now in a new era we finally seem to be coming to an understanding of what effects our skin has to everything, especially our face.  The best tips anyone can give for makeup is to go natural.  Treat your face as if it is the last one you have, because it is the only one you are given in this lifetime.

The basic to any makeup session is cleansing.  Use a gentle cleanser morning and nightly. As you apply the cleanser, use simple, light, upward strokes as not to pull the face downward.  Exfoliate weekly using a product that has round exfoliating beads.  Then apply a toner suited for your skin type.  Treat yourself to in-home facials to pamper your skin.

With the application of a moisturizer, make sure it has an SPF rating. The sun is probably the most damaging force to your face.  Foundation should be light and airy without oil, if you can find the right tone use a powder foundation and apply with a brush.  This leaves your skin with a healthy glow without clogging your pours.   Most importantly take care of your skin and you will be pleased with the end result.
